Good times, colder weather, more sleep...
I'm curious as to how the pod woman reacted when she found out her daughter married into my family. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that. (My brother and I call her that because she looks like a pod person - old cheezy horror flick, kiddies - when she forgets to draw her eyebrows in because she shaves all her eyebrow hair off... Yeah, tell me about it.) So anyway, the family's widened a good bit and comes complete with yet another family feud.
(I caught the bouquet. I think some deity decided it would be funny because my mind was trying to force me to back pedal but my body refused to comply.)
So, I'm sitting here in black jeans and a grey sweater, enjoying cup of coffee number two. It's not been warm at all since yesterday and I don't think we have to worry about digging shorts or capris out again for awhile. I'm a little pissed off - I bought a pair of 15 jeans and they are smaller than the size 12's I bought. I can squeeze into the 12's, but the 15's don't go past my upper thighs o.O Those are likely going to my sister who is shorter and much smaller than I am. (She turned 30 yesterday and still looks like she's a teenager after three kids. *Moon ish jealous*) Excuse me, no, she's 29 and counting. She hates the idea of being in her thirties. LOL. My sister's kids will be adults probably by the time I get settled and ready to have children.
So Amber tells me last night I didn't have to take public speaking at all, I could have taken theater instead. O.O. Yes, I know, I need to get better at public speaking. I already can act - I do that well enough. I still haven't decided what the hell I'm going to do for my demonstrative speech. I might just make my grandfather's chip dip and be done with it. That takes all of two steps though so it might not be long enough. Heh. I need to do my homework for Thursday - I've been poking at it and that's about it. *poke, poke* Nope, it's not any more done yet. It's not so much that it takes me a long time to do it compared to other classes, it's just that it's not all that interesting.
I'm hoping the gym that's opening up here in town (which should be opening up towards the end of this month) will offer kickboxing classes. That's probably going to be the only way I can fit time in to actually go to a class since I'm trying to get on at either the gym itself as someone to clean up equipment after people or the Subway that'll be next door.
I've not had any 'signs' that I've been sleepwalking in the past week and a half and last night I didn't have any disturbing dreams so maybe whatever's been bugging me has worked its way out of my system. The bruise and bump that were on my cheekbone are gone as far as I can tell although that area's still tender a bit. Normally I just get scratches and bruises on my legs and occasionally my arms. When it's my face, I'm a little more concerned.
Anyway... I will close there and make some attempt to actually get work done since I have class this afternoon.
