  • Untitled work-in-progress

This is a poem I started to write out on paper, not on computer, but I figured I'd share for your reading pleasure.

    offered sanguine

             for the passing

       truth in promises

               pain required so spake

                            this is where I stand

    For my faith

           one more scar

                 dutifully worn

                 proudly earned

         drops of blood

                wept into the soil

                         always freely

    THIS I CHOSE

What would you give to connect?

  • Politics suck

But did you vote anyway? Even though we are very cynical, I feel, as a generation, I think it's very important to make some kind of statement even if you take a sophomoric stance by voting for your dirty sock or Homer Simpson. As a proud member of Gen Y, while I appreciate our own cautiousness and conniving for moments when our actions actually mean something, we do sit back on the sidelines far too often simply because action seems inconvenient or uncomfortable or pointless. While it may seem pointless to vote for people you think will do a mediocre job at best, it is far better than to lose the right entirely.

Believe me, things could be far worse than they are now. Anyway, I'm closing out for now. I will write more later, I'm sure.
